I was very impressed by this place from the moment we drove up. It has a lovely open lobby with a fish pond and marble floors. We got a rate of $55 so we were expecting a Hawaii version of a MOTEL 8. But this was far better than we expected, we thought we had the wrong place. There was all kinds of stores, and features, a great restaurant and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was totally new, small but adequate and very clean. The AC was nice and cool and the staff was friendly. I would say this was one of the best budget hotels we have ever stayed at hands down.

We stayed at one of the properties on Kalia Road right on the beach. The hotel is large with a lot of shops, restaurants, and bars on the ground floor. The location is great since it is right along the beach so you can easily walk to the beach from the hotel lobby. We enjoyed our stay except for the noisy people next door. The room was clean and it looked as if the room was newly renovated.

Stayed here for 8 nights. Had an upgrade to an King size room with an Ocean view room on the 42nd floor with kitchennette looking towards Diamond Head.
I would recommend staying here if you don't mind walking a few extra blocks for the beach.
